When we were brainstorming ideas for our latest cookbook, Ice Tray Treats, we knew we wanted to tackle no-bake desserts. But it also seemed like an opportunity to explore more flavorful versions of Everyday ice cubes! From simple lemon wedges to rich matcha lattes, we're all about these make-ahead recipes for masterful daily drinks.

Flavored Ice Cubes

Matcha Latte Cubes

  • 1 tbsp honey or pure maple syrup

In a small bowl, whisk all the ingredients together until there are no lumps. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a measuring cup or other vessel with a spout. Pour the mixture into a silicone ice tray, dividing evenly among 12 cubes. Place in the freezer until frozen solid.

Iced Coffee Cubes

  • 1¾ cups chilled coffee

Pour the iced coffee into a silicone ice tray, dividing evenly among 12 cubes. Place in the freezer until frozen solid.

Lemon Ice Cubes

  • ⅓ cup lemon juice
  • 12 small lemon wedges

Pour the lemon juice into a silicone ice tray, dividing evenly among 12 cubes. Place a lemon wedge in each cube and cover with water. Place in the freezer until frozen solid. Note: you can also swap in mint leaves for lemon! Simple use 12 leaves and place one in each cube.
