The story of the Negroni Sbagliato goes like this, an apprentice at a bar in Milan mistakenly placed a bottle of processo where gin was supposed to go. A busy bartender accidentally grabbed the Prosecco and in a rush, added it to a Negroni instead of gin. The result? A sparkling low-alcohol aperitivo that's perfect for late afternoon sipping.
For Negroni Week, we decided to whip up this tasty spin on the Negroni. Sbagliato actually means "mistake" in Italian, but we'd say this was one happy, tasty mistake. Just like a Negroni, the process to make this cocktail is incredibly simple. Add equal parts Campari and sweet vermouth to a rocks glass filled with ice. Stir for 5 seconds then top with Prosecco. Garnish with a strip of orange, and get ready to happy hour the Italian way.

- 2 shots Campari
- 2 shots sweet vermouth
- 2 strips of orange zest (for garnish)
- Divide the Campari and sweet vermouth between two rocks glasses filled with ice.
