One part G&T, one part Mojito, the Tonic Cubano is the perfect companion on those hot summer days. Believe it or not, aged rum and tonic make a solid pairing. The smokiness of the rum contrasts the light sweetness of tonic in the best possible way. Add a tart lime and fragrant mint, and you're in business.

Tonic Cubano
Makes one cocktail

• 1 shot Brugal 1888 Rum
• 1 slice lime
• 2 sprigs mint (1 for garnish)
• 2 1/2 shots Boylan Heritage Tonic

1. In a rocks glass, muddle the mint and lime slice until crushed.
2. Add aged rum, and fill the glass with ice.
3. Top with tonic, and garnish with sprig of mint
